Thread Starter
Hello, as per the title. I am looking for a 22" monitor. I see that Samsung makes some good monitors and probably looking towards them. I live in Ontario, Canada so a Best Buy, Futureshop, NCIX, Tiger Direct, Canada Computers will all due. Is this one any good:

I bought the cheapest 22" i could find, £150 from Staples at the time. Hasn't gone wrong yet. No dead pixels. And can't really complain.

That monitor you've picked though, looks super, and will be a good performer.

I love Samsung monitors. I only bought my 19" because I needed a cheap second monitor. I don't think I'd buy a monitor that wasn't Samsung though. I'm very impressed with their LCD products

I have had my Samsung 226CW for a few months now. No problems no dead pixels it works great. Bought it at the BestBuy thinking it was the BW, but it wasn't and I am still not sure what the difference is. Never bothered to check it out, because the monitor is great.

Added: If you go with a Samsung check out s1rrah's post on the magictune setup.

I bought a Soyo 24" last weekend but decided a 22" would be better for me so after doing reasearch and looking for monitors that use Samsung panels I picked up a HP 2207 tonight. I seriously considered the Samsung 226bw, but most of the recent ones are all c panels. The HP has a fully adjustable stand and is clearly marked on the box which panel it uses (Samsung, LG or one other) so I went to a few different stores and at the 3rd one found one in stock that uses a Samsung panel. I'm about to open it up now

Indeed. I decided I didn't like my 24" Soyo, which is a beautiful panel, great colors no problems at all, but was just too big for the viewing distance I had to work with. Picked up the HP on Sat and it's great.
