I have an AMD chip? Last time I checked, telling the truth isn't a fanboy. An Intel C2D/C2Q @ 3 Ghz would be about the same as an AMD 64 @ 4 Ghz. The Intel would pull out ahead because of more cache. If you think AMD is faster than Intel, you need to get with the times. An Intel E2140 and a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L would offer you the best price/performance and may even be cheaper than the AMD rigs that have been suggested.

Just under $150, you can't beat that.

Yup, with Intels Price coming down a bit, they are getting in the same price range as the AMD's are, but OC's are better than AMD.
When I was looking for my last 2 builds, AMD was the better deal, now it is about even (dare I say Intel is squeaking ahead, AAAKKK!).
I would still say AMD. Why, just because.
