Vista not "online" - Page 2

Example:
I can connect to the internet with Firefox, IE, Guild Wars, that's about it. I've tried other online games and they won't connect/update.

Even after a reformat, I cannot connect to certain websites, like: gmail.com, chase.com, paypal.com, the firefox add-on site, and others.

Well, with the chase online website, I can load the homepage no problem, when I try to log in to view my bank statements, it just times out. Same exact thing with gmail.

This just puzzles me. I've never ever ever had any problems like this. Oh, and windows won't even update, which isn't good right after a reformat.

Cable, no firewalls, some netgear router that I've had for years now, never had a problem with it.
I use Firefox.

Here's the weird thing, it's just on my computer, no other computers in the house do this. I have to go on my parent's laptop to check my email, statements, etc. Everyone else is on the same network/router/modem.

A print screen, or two, of the errors would be helpful for diagnosing your problem.
