Crytek finally releases the Mod SDK v1.0

For anyone building custom maps for Crysis it's here,

Also added,
The "Nanosuit Playground" level (the fun one we all saw at GDC 07) is included, as well (I think) access to all the legacy archetype entities that weren't included in the final game.

Following is a short description how to load the Nanosuit Playground level properly. Please follow the instructions below step-by-step.

Once you installed the Mod SDK you will find a SDK_Mod folder inside your Crysis mods folder (..CrysisMods). The level is placed at following location: ..CrysisModsSDK_ModGameLevels and is called "suit_demonstration".

In the case you find a suit_demonstration folder in your Crysis root folder you can delete it since it has accidentally been placed there by the installer.


How To Load "Nanosuit Playground" Level
So in order to load the suit_demonstration level correctly you need to do following:

Right click on the Crysis/Editor short cut on the Desktop, chose properties and
enhance the target line with -devmode and -mod SDK_Mod
So in the end it looks like "...CrysisBinXXCrysis.exe" -devmode -mod SDK_Mod or "...CrysisBinXXEditor.exe" -devmode -mod SDK_Mod


Start Crysis, open console and type in map suit_demonstration and hit enter aftewards


In the case you want to load the level in the Editor be sure you load it from the correct folder which is:
"..CrysisModsSDK_ModGameLevelssuit_demonstrationsu it_demonstration.c

This will load the level correctly with correct AI (including weapons) and working scripts.

Problem is learning it the right way now I'm use to using the work around to add mods like custom buildings and vechiles ect.

Things load easier using the SDK but there not showing up in the map yet,
Maybe someday I will figure it a out, LOL
