Put thumbnails or smaller images.

6k RPM...that's hell of a monster!I don't wanna think how noisy they are at that speed, do you really need that much?I think 2600 RPM is enough, its even a little bit loud for me so i stick my fans to 2000 RPM.

I think you better not plug this fan directly into the motherboard...

Geeze, Jay, where will you put those things? They're almost 2" deep and weigh about 2lbs apiece!

I replaced my 120mm case fans with the Sharkoon Silent Eagle 1000 LED fans and they move more air and are just as quiet as the original fans were (they also have the blue LEDs). There are some other good replacement fans on the market, like the Scythe "S-FLEXâ„¢" S-FDB 120mm Quiet FAN, the Nexus 120 mm Real Silent Case Fan and others.

Might I add, the original fans don't push squat. I replaced the fan directly behind my TT120 with a Scythe Ultra Kaze 2000RPM fan, and in all honesty, it is a bit louder (maybe a couple db's higher) but pushes much more. It makes the other fan above it feel like it's not doing anything.

@jay185: How loud are those 3k rpm fans?

More importantly, how did you mount the stockfans there?? Can you take more pics of that? I want to do that ASAP!

Zoom, nice work on your 3D Aurora... The amount of work that went into that drive bay is amazing... and it turned out perfect!

Check out my worklog in my sig, it's a 3D Mercury which is pretty similar to the Aurora internally...

Keep up the good work.
