Talk about streaming high-def movies... You could download one in mere seconds...

The server HDDs you will be downloading from won't be able to feed the data fast enough

What about the latencies? There is no way you can game with satelite internet. (I have tried) The latencies are up in the 2500ms range! It takes a while for the signal to get up to the satellite and back down to earth.

Satellite, however, is good for downloading since latencies hardly affect downloads. We had a Huges Net "business" account (~$100/month). We were only allowed to dl 400MB/day. I was so glad when DSL came to our neighborhood.

That's cool and all, but satellite ISPs are around here for people who live in the country......they're slow and expensive......not to mention that weather can affect connection.

our country is very gay, everyone is criticizing this 1ghz connection satellite because of latency for gaming when japan doesn't have to worry about that when they're "SLOWER" connections are like godly compared to ours (Broadband service is available in Japan for US$24.19 a month, and opening a page on the World Wide Web is 520 times as fast as standard dial-up modem). I like how congress can tell everyone they have to switch to digital cable but the isps can still ride us like money whores on slow ass connections
