well didn't want to trash the other guys thread sooooo......question.

I got this board and the gigabyte lan shows as working with no issues in windows but wont find an IP...I added a NIC and it works fine...is the board defective or is there a bios setting or something???

just wondered because the NIC is fine but if there is a defect maybe best to just RMA it back to the Egg for a new one

I did have few instances like this on DS3L before but that only happened when I OC too much. It works fine when I back down clock speed. It is weird.

I've never had that problem with mine, even at 3.9GHz it would still go on the internet.

I've actually had mine act up on me as well. Seems to be completely random when it happens and reboots, power offs, repairing (in windows) doesn't seem to work.

I just un-installed it, then reinstalled it and it worked fine after that.

Have you tried un-installing it through the device manager, then re-installing it again? It sounds stupid, but many times it will work. Could also be a device conflict with other cards. Any other add-on cards installed?
