Conky Config

Thread Starter
Just wondering I just starting messing around with conky and it's pretty fun

i keep getting errors when trying to use the xmms variables such as xmms2_title etc it does not recognize them.
Conky: unknown variable xmms2_artist
Conky: unknown variable xmms2_title

Also my networking isn't working at all i tried both eth0 and eth1 neither gets any display. I believe this is related to the errors
Conky: /home/phil/.conkyrc: 96: no such configuration: 'dexter_client'
Conky: /home/phil/.conkyrc: 97: no such configuration: 'dexter_server'
Conky: /home/phil/.conkyrc: 99: no such configuration: 'dexter_config'

plus i was wondering if you guys could post up some sweet screen shots and some general info for working with conky and maybe your config file if you want.

Kind of want to make this a conky resource if enough people use it. we will see what happens

TIA
Phil

min size worked for me. 1280 is the width and 10 is the height.

now for the font size, xftfont myriadwebixelsize=12 . just change that.

Oh, i see. Well you have to modify the content to fit. A smaller font might help, but you might need to trim the content, or make another row.

EDIT: Go to Networking in your menu up at the top and see what your network is using. Keep in mind, if you are not downloading or uploading anything (or loading websites), then it will say 0 for both. Thats current, not total.

EDIT2: An easy fix would be making your screen resolution 1280 wide.
