I'm just wondering as i have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ @ 3.2GHz but it isn't the black edition

Yes. But you can still raise the FSB. Dunno if you can unlock the the multiplier anyway.

for us noobs yes, its already pretty high so you cant OC it to much more unless you have serious skills or just crazy. I think I got mine to a bit over 3.3Ghz before I gave up.

Either chip has the same limit....

the Black Edition is alot easier to get to that limit because it isnt dependant on a board with good overclock options...you'll only need CPU multiplier and CPU voltage options...while the NON black edition will depend more on FSB which intern relies more on ram settings and so on...
