So instead of being stuck @ a 16x max multi like you are, you can go up (I am sure there is a limit somewhere).
As said above it allows some cheaper memory to be removed somewhat from the OC factor.

dont know why afew overclockers seem to think the B.Edition is MP unlockted as its NOT.Its no diffrent 2 yours.By u gota fan with ures thats it m8.And the BE 6400s mp is 16 also.u can go down but not up.BUT the BE 5000 is 100% unlockted only.Rip off 4 6400 BE owners.I get 3424Mhz stable.So you should also as there same chip 100%.
