Apprisal: Everything must go....

Thread Starter
They say the measure of a smart man is to know when he is beaten and give up. I think it was a French man, j/k.

Anyway, after the 3rd straight month of serious failures and problems with no reasonable explanation, I think I am throwing in the towel. From RAID erasing motherboard failures to Windows crashes to DVD drives not being recognized and up to the inability to reconnect a new install to an existing network.......
:swearing: and everything in between.....I have no more patience, time, or money.

So, I am wondering what I could get if I sold off my entire collection, and then put the money toward one of my other hobbies that is less frustrating.

I would prefer to just list the systems instead of parting them out.

2GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 PC8000
SAPPHIRE X1900XTX 512MB

1x Seagate 300GB hard drive
ASUS SATA Dual Layer DVD Burner w/Lightscribe

Let me know what you think, maybe it's just the frustration, but if I could get enough to upgrade the brakes and steering on my off road Blazer, I'd probably do it.

I doubt anyone who want to purchase is a system if it is malfunctioning as you described.

I gernerally would not say this, but I would suggest if you want to sell system by system you take #1, and put it on ebay, you will probably make a killing on it, alot more than you could get here even if you parted it out and sold everything.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to appraise something that may be faulty. If you could describe the problems on each system, I would say take the cost of the most likely culprit and subtract from a normal appraisal. But thats still iffy, since someone would have to take the time to fix it also.......

LOL

The malfunction is not hardware (might be software, Windows is a crappy OS )......as I said, nothing is malfunctioning, they just, on occasion decide to not do what they should. The motherboard failure was solved with an RMA.

I was mostly blowing off steam, I've had nothing but weird problems for the last few months, nothing like faulty parts or anything logical, just....gremlins.

oh well.....
