Possible WC setup. Opinions?

Thread Starter
Well I am looking into WC and I have composed the following parts. Please add in anything extra I need or forgot. Setup will be running CPU and GPU, possibly NB and SB in the future.

- Thermochill P120.2 Shroud for Dual 120MM Fans
- Thermochill Pa 120.2 Dual 120MM Fan Water Cooling Radiator *No Barbs* (would i just buy some 1/2IN barbs for it?)
- Swiftech MCB-120 Radbox Revision 2 Black
- Swiftech MCRES-MICRO Clear HI-FLOW Water Cooling Reservoir 3/8IN & 1/2IN
- Swiftech MCP655 12V Industrial Water Cooling Pump 1/2IN Barbs
- Swiftech APOGEE GT
- Danger Den DD-IONE Full Cover SLI Ready Video Card Water Block 8800GT/8800GTS G92 1/2IN Barbs (Is this any good? I am not sure how Full Cover blocks do, seeing as they have RAM and GPU to cool)
- Feser One Fluid UV Purple NON-CONDUCTIVE Water Replacement for Liquid Cooling
- Clearflex 60 Tubing 1/2IN ID 7/8IN OD 10 Feet
- 1 x Antec Tri-Cool 120mm Fans for Rad (I already have another one)

This whole thing brings it to (In Canadian Dollars) $413.00 after shipping (free shipping for over $300 dollars from www.directcanada.com). This is my first WC setup. Everything look good? Anything you would change? Do i need to buy anti-corrosive stuff, and anti-algae stuff? Also will the radiator with the rad mount cover any of the ports on the back of my Antec 900? Thanks for any replies.

Looks pretty good, you've done your home-work......If you are wanting to cool your CPU and GPU I would go with a PA.3...It should help your temp's more and it will help even out your temp's so the don't spike so much...

A lot of guys like full coverage blocks but I would opt out for aSwifty 60 w/ram-sinks...Its universal fit so you can move it from card to card, cools as well or better then most and doesn't dump ram heat into your loop either, and it does all that while costing less..Swifty 60...Swifty 60 Ram Sinks...

Really I think I would grab a Fuzion over the Apogee, I think its about hte best commercial CPU block out right now.... FuZion CPU Block

I'd use a back plate on that s/775 it might make it a lot easier ot get a good block mount....Dtek FuZion Intel 775 Pro-Mount set

couldn't have said it better.....

Regarding tubing, with 7/8" OD your going to have some trouble with the fuzion and mcw60. 5/8" is perfect with clamps and 3/4" is pretty tight.

I would try and find some masterkleer 7/16"ID-5/8"OD tubing.

Should be able to order on march.14 *crosses fingers*. Day after my B-day AND pay day from work. The change in GPU block makes a big difference in my price. I hope direct Canada gets all of my items in stock at the same time. Currently the ramsinks are out of stock, the CPU heatsink, and the Rad. lets hope for the best.

Sry for double post, but I have a couple questions about those numbers you put up. Can you explain what 7/16"ID-5/8" OD means? I know they are measurements, but what parts of the tube are they measuring?

*extra slightly Non related question*

Do you think WC is worth it if I already have high end air? Or would adding another card in SLi be better, and then I would just run a CPU loop if my video cards were fine.
