Contact them anyways and see what they can do for you. I dont see how they can get away with not covering any kind of warranty on the PSU. After all, the worst they can say is no!

Out of curiosity, is your power button sticking at all or possibly just barely connected to your mobo. It'll be real tiny green/black wires that'll plug into pins at the very bottom of the motherboard.

wouldnt that just make the comp turn on, then off, on, then off?

Nope, because it's a momentary switch. Thus you having to hold down the button for a few moments for it to shut down.

I know this from experience my friend .. it was actually pretty embarrassing lol

Right, i've managed to make it run sort of. If I take out 1 stick of RAM and the DVD drive. But it's amazingly slow and can barely run. When turning on I keep getting lots of errors, and my HDD is spinning like mad and bleeping. Does this mean anything?
I've started my RMA and I can't borrow my friends PSU because it's attached, and he doesn't want to unnattach it.
