[Engadget] Games Are Coming To The Zune

Thread Starter
It was speculated a while ago, but now it’s Official, games are coming to the Zune!

Microsoft just announced a partnership with XNA Studio’s to develop games for the Zune; what’s more interesting is it will have the ability to use its inbuilt Wi-Fi so that the games will offer multiplayer, much like the Nintendo DS.

Currently it looks like only 2-nd generation Zune owners will be able to play the games, the announcement said ‘it’d take advantage of the touch-pad controls’. Although there is a chance it’d be available for the 1-st generation owners, especially if the game developer wished to support it, as for now, it’s unclear though.

Now Microsoft just needs to launch it out of just USA and Canada and into Europe, Asia and Australasia.
