I am too and am very happy with my purchase.

I spent $169 and sold KK and the remote for $30 then I rented and watched about 300 movies thru netflix. Still a much better deal than the LD player I paid $800 and $40-60 per movie. Actually I still own the player and 20 movies which I invested appx $1500 and they are worth about $30 now

I now have a ps3 and I still don't see why people think BR is superior. They both output the same image quality and BR has a worse menu system imho.

Blu Ray has more data per layer = better format. Hands down, bottom line, etc.

I wouldn't buy one for a fraction of a penny, they are dumping their trash off on people like they did with laser-dud.

Hey, this is about the same price as an external DVD drive (which is what this is). I might go for it.

I'm pretty sure they'll all be switched.

It's clear from that that NOTHING was or is clear to you about it.

Theres nothing better about blu ray, other than marketing.

Differences are relatively minimal, since both formats are perfectly capable of storing video and sound for movies completely uncompressed, with room to spare. I don't even know why blu-ray has a higher capacity, they're basically the same- they both use a blue laser. The format war boiled down to which one could be advertised more, and with the ps3 being the main thing for blu-ray, it was a pretty obvious win. If hd-dvd was marketed like it should have been, it would still be a close race.
