Down for now....

Thread Starter
Well my raptor HDD and one of my Ram modules is dead. i bought them used so the warranty for the Raptor is no longer, i don't know if i'll go with ballistixs again either as the D9 are no longer available through them. anyways i got my trusty lappy on hand for this sort of things.

i just gotta get some files off the raptor then i'll toss it. i'm gonna go raid on my next setup either raptors again or some 200g WD's either way. So what a decent Ram to go with now? no XMS pls i had some and they can't OC to save themselves

Since when? I know the newer models are likely to be single sided and many users have had them dying in a matter of weeks, but as far as I know they're still D9's and if you're part of the majority that don't fail you have very overclockable D9's, getting well above 1100MHz at CAS 5. Is this something new?

no thinker i'm still running the same raptor. i ran some diagnostics on the hdd and it came out clean. i bought another raptor like 3hrs ago.

i'm thinking that's it's a ram issue now. the last BSOD i got was 0x0000008e which points to a ram malfunction. i wanna run memetest on but i can't burn memetest to an .iso properly.

Roningai, what kind of problems are you having when you try and burn the .iso file? What burning software are you trying to use?

Good luck
