We still don't know how it works internally though. The 9600 GT is a dumbed down version of the 8800GT but it performs almost on par. Now imagine that with more power. It might aswell be more efficient for all we know. Lets wait for some official reviews

Epic win for me I guess! I just stepped up both of my GT's to GTS 512's! Haha for once a video card company's failure has benefited me

Ok I have one question ...

Is there an official document from Nvidia that states the exact specs of this card? If there isn't you guys are getting all worked up over reviews that are nothing but speculation and guessing. I'm not watching it on a daily basis but when I do see a new post about this card it's always the same same information, same speculation, and same "screw nvidia this card sucks" posts.

I for one am holding my comments until somebody is physically holding this card in there hands or benchmarking it.

But please all you ATI and Nvidia fan boys continue bashing each other, it's quite funny.

idk if the 9600GT does as well as it does with the 64 stream processors maybe this can do some amazing stuff.

Wow.
How did ATI get THAT far behind to the point where Nvidia is intentionally releasing underpowered hardware.

IDK if I would say that they aren't challenging them, but maybe they do want to let them ahead of the game a little bit. If Nvidia completely demolishes ATI, then they would have to dumb things down anyways for fear of becoming a monopoly. At one point in time, I thought that Nvidia + Intel were pounding AMD into the ground so hard that they wouldn't be able to recover...
