Well if that is 8 core, is it suppose to be, sorry I havnt kept up lately. If so then its actually smaller then the current quad considering number of cores.

I will look into getting one for sure once they come down from $2000 that is.

Well this will be in like June....I don't think they will even still be making the good old Q66, I will probably be staring straight at a Q9450 or something like that.

ok so the 45nm manufacturing process refers to the size of the transistors if im not mistaken, not the chip. 45nm is like wayyy small... thats why they can put 731 million transistors on the chip. but since it has 8 cores, well just look at the size of the current 65nm quad core. if they lower the manufacturing process from 65 to 45 its not really that much, yet they have to double the cores... well obviously its gonna need a bigger chip. when they move it over to 32nm well, then they might shrink the chip for 8-cores but probably by then we will have 12-cores or more, so i dont think the chips gonna get smaller...
