I have a hard time imagining playing SC with a controller lol...i find my trackball too slow LOL..quicker that a regular mouse thats all i know..but not nearly fast as i would like ...a controller?...ha! that would be funny

SC is just too complicated for a controller..you are constantly zooming out, panning around, and click and dragging to select units and whatnot...you would wear out a controller real quick...as well as your fingers

I would love to see how the 360s CPU and GPU handle this game. My PC has a hard time running this game once spend a hour or so building up units. And with the much slower CPU and GPU in the 360 along with only 512MB of V/RAM (sharded) I don't see this gaming doing so well.

I think your missing the point of the power usage of supcom, effectively it needs an octo core cpu to keep playable fps in large battles, supcom isnt really that graphically intense, if this game was ported to the PS3 however, i think this would cope ALOT better than the 360's cpu, plus i said this would contribute to causing the RROD, not start it. And alot of the new 360's, i think 1/20 still have this problem as this was demonstrated at microsofts 2008 conference when they were showing off the supposable re-engineered 360's

I want to see someone select aircraft flying around in a pattern with an xbox controller. I have a hard enough time doing it with a mouse. Say you set some scouts to patrol at some point, say a group of 5. They are flying the route nicely, and you want to select all. You have to manage to double click on one of them to select the 5, or draw a box around them. I want to see (soo bad) someone do this with an xbox controller. I almost have to put the game on pause to do it as it is! Also, the shift button for queued commands is going to be interesting. I think that this game will be a lot of frustration for people who play it. Id like to see it done, really, but I think its gonna be a flop.

I bet this is gonna be watered down like Command and Conquer 3 was (although it wasn't nearly as indepth as SupCom)

It should go over very well. I mean all it is, is point and click. click, launch nuke on 2nd click. Upgrades are a click. Very uncomplicated. (I once set up Supcom for Xbox 360 Controller use, worked well except for scale velocity and such, couldnt customize pressure sensitivity.)
Supcom is quite complicated. Perhaps they'll find some innovative way to optimize controller use, but I use about 15 buttons on the keyboard plus both mouse buttons and the scroll wheel. I don't see how it could be easy to use the XBOX controller with such efficiency.

The 360 does have a more powerful CPU than people tend to think. Both the 360 and PS3 CPUs are in-order execution, meaning they can cram in a lot more execution units, but makes it much more difficult to program for.

Also, the RRoD is caused by heat from the GPU, not the CPU, as the CPU has a sufficiently large heatsink to keep it at a reasonable temperature.

You have a pretty nice computer goat, which I am sure you play a lot of games on...so why are you sticking up for a RTS on a console with a controller?

SupCom on a console is epic fail regardless of what you think for more than just the control scheme.

This game will maybe manage to sell two copies to the few smart guys that actually own a console. Most console owners are little 11-17 year old punks whos parents bought it for them for Christmas and they only look for the "game of the week."(im not saying everyone who owns a console is a complete idiot, but you know what I am getting at) They cannot appreciate a game of this calibur because its not named FF, GeOW, GOW, or Halo.

This game has already failed due to the nature of console gaming.
