Ok.. what are some optimum memory frequencies to drop them too??

2T
Trc 24-26
Trfc 105 or 127.5

as you said?
I dont even know under what headings those sttings u gave me go under.

P.S Is this going to have a negative impact on my system,
its been crashing like 15 times since yest o/c
and i lowered the FSB to 235 @ 3.1Ghz and system freezes on its own and i have to do a reboot.

I dont know if i shuld increase the Vcore to 1.5V again or increase the FSB... basically u just said sumtin important about the mem frequency i might lower than...(even tho i dont know how to) ill read thru the bios

P.S.S - w will post CPU-Z screens l8r tonight when i get home... but frankly
1 core is always 10C lower than the other, i dunno why that too

Brisbanes read kinda funky on the temp monitor.... the cores on mine read about 10C degrees different too. I would say don't increase vcore or fsb any more until you get stable.... in fact, maybe back them off some until you get a handle on the crashes. Take your time and read through your BIOS.... the ram settings should be there under DRAM or something similar(it may say in your mobo manual).... also, the specifications for your ram should tell you what timings they should be set at.

the paper that came with the Kingston RAM kit has no info on the timing.

Ill wait till i get a handle on the crashes, il lkeep running prim95 untill it doesnt crash
but basically with my cooling & CPU
whats the max i shuld set the Vcore too and the FSB?

You could check out the Kingston website for the specs.... what is the model number of the ram? As far as vcore and fsb.... what were the last settings on those that didn't crash?

Try using the PC Probe utility from asus for your temps,it's been very accurate for my Brisbane.
To be safe I would keep the full load temp under 55c and the vcore 1.55 or lower.
If you have the model or part # for the memory or a link to it that would help.
With those CPU-Z screens and the memory info I'm sure we can get it stable for you.

i'm running 4x 1gb sticks and my brisbane cuts out at 3.0ghz, and won't budge even 10mhz higher

when i was running 2x1gb i had the exact oc though, might just be the chip limit

Ahhhh see thats what im tyrna get at
this could be the CPUs maximum... can anyone confirm this?????

what a stupid chip man... from 2.6ghz to 3.0Ghz thats shocking

My brother bought an Intel Quad 2.4Ghz,
he's upped it to 3.4Ghz with no problems and without a heatsink!!

Well.... there are no guarantees when OC'ing....

Did you run Memtest to check your ram?

It could be many things but we need the settings and you'll have to try a few things or your just guessing. It could be the CPU's limit or the memory settings and you might get higher with only 2GB of ram or it might be a combination of things.OC'ing takes patience sometimes and a lot of testing.
