Overclocking 4000+ brisbane

Thread Starter
Hello, well to start out I bought a 4000+ brisbane running on a biostar tforce 7025 Motherboard with 2 gigs of ram. My first question is I can over clock it to 2.7 but it wont pass orthos or prime 95 for more then 11 minutes. It doesnt seem to be getting to hot as its running between 45 and 55 Celcius. im at 300 fsb x 9 multiplyer and 3 ht link. what do you think I should do to get it to run stable?

Lol, first of all you've got a typo there. 3.7????? 300x9 is 2.7. Secondly, you could try upping your voltage a notch, or adjusting your RAM down a notch? You didn't really give enough information to properly diagnose the problem. But I'd just take a stab in the dark saying its one of those two things stopping your stress test.

he needs a cpu cooler but is very limited as this is in a ultra microfly case. very small and tight.

i have messesd with it also and can't get orthos or prime or OCCT stable past 2.6 ghz but it runs everything just fine with no errors or temp issues at 2.7 with 1.4vcore. we played cod4 for hours today smooth as silk

alright so i've got a question about my OC.. In bios i've got my OC etc.. I've got my FSB set to 268 and my ram divider at 400 because i've got this .5gb stick that needs removed.. (single channel vs dual channel... big difference) anyways i've got my HT link set to 600...just wondering why i can't get it to 800... any clues

Wow, ummm based off of those screenshots, I'd say the best idea would be to attempt a bump in vcore. Your RAM settings appear to be fine, slightly under stock speed and stock timings. Have you made sure you're running the correct voltage to your RAM based off of what the manufacturer states?

well so far uping my vcore to 1.44 from 1.37. I ran Orthos Stable for 30 minutes and peaked at 58C so I think its doing better then it was.
