Best case fan manufacturers - Page 2

I don't usually order fans from Newegg, their selection is far from the greatest, and they've price gouged on popular fans on more than one occasion (S-Flex SFF21F was $25 at one point). For fans, cooling, and basically most little things I generally shop at FrozenCPU or Performance-PCs.

Off that list, Scythe and Arctic Cooling are the only companies that I've had really good experiences with. Scythe's S-Flex line is exceptional, at least the "F" and "E" variants, the "D" is a bit too low-speed for my taste. The S-Flex fans have an exceptional lifetime as well, around three times what a more standard fan will have. Most of the Arctic Cooling line also uses FDBs which are what give the S-Flex line their exceptional life. The Arctic Cooling fans do not move as much air as the S-Flex line, but they are significantly cheaper. There are a bucketload of variants though - assuming you're looking for a standard 25mm variant look to the part number to make sure you're getting the right size fan. Most of the part numbers of the standard-frame 25mm fans have "25" in them - for instance, the Arctic Fan 9L is much thicker than 25mm, but the Arctic Fan 9225L is in a standard frame. If you have room for the thicker fan they might perform better, but I haven't done or seen any testing to that effect.

I'm gonna say antecs.. after seeing my buddies computer completely full of dust so thick with nicotine, and whatever else, then putting my hand near it to see it's still pushing massive amounts of air reliably and silently I'm sold...
The fans themselves had a thick layer of grime/dust/nicotine on them and was running like it was new... I was flabbergasted.
I picked some up myself and I'm quite happy with them.
Myself a technician, through experience, I've learned reliability is key in almost everything you buy.
