Sofware to check ram? / Ram Timing confusion!!

Whats some good software to test my ram, without having to burn to a disc and run on startup?

Update : I ran 3dmark06 and scored 13912 everything stock. Seems my ram didnt error on memtest or super pi. Now if i can get my ram timings right id be good to go. Still cant get my ram timings fixed yet when they are suppose to be 4-4-4-15 @ 2.1v. They are at 6-6-6-18 @2.1v

It is an attachment. Just save it on your desktop and then run it.

This is the executable version of memtest.
You have to extract it first.

Or you can use Orthos.

edit:
Since you don't want on this, memtest is the best. The executable version.

MemTest86 really is the best way. No other way can fully test your memory as well. Any thing else will run in a full operating system.... and the OS uses memory. Any test application can't test the memory the OS or other applications are holding.

I've found errors with it that neither memtest86+, HCI memtest for windows, nor Prime95 could find.

Memtest86+ still uses a small amount of RAM. Also, windows doesn't just sit on the same memory addresses all the time, it moves stuff around. Even with a windows based memory test, you will eventually hit all (or very nearly all) the ram.

True. The OS can can easily utilize 300-1000MB while the tests are running. While eventually, you can be confident that each memory cell was tested more than once. However, it would be much faster with higher confidence if you just you MemTest which utilizes under 100KB. That's a few magnitudes difference there.

This is your RAM right?

Stock for it is 2.1v and 5-5-5-18. If you want tighter timings you may want to up the voltage to 2.2 and try 4-4-4-15 first, if that works then try 4-4-4-12.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227267 This is my ram and its showing 6-6-6-18. CPU-Z shows 6-6-6-18 with voltage @ it would be 4-4-4-12. But it still shows 6-6-6-18
