Which way should I go?

Thread Starter
I'm going to buy one of the two graphics cards but I don't know which way to go.

- EVGA 256-P2-N751-TR GeForce 8600GT 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

- XFX PVT84JUDD3 GeForce 8600GT XXX 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card - Retail

The EVGA has 32 Pixel Pipeline and I don't know how much the XFX has.
And the XFX a Core clock of 620MHz while the EVGA has 540MHz.

let me know what you guys think.

well judging by the fact that you are buying such a budget card i would say you dont plan to upgrade anytime soon so i would go with the XFX

XFX is pretty high quality, but I'd go with evga just in case you decide to upgrade, you'll have the step up program handy.

thats the only thing it comes down to, if you plan to upgrade within 90 days then evga but otherwise XFX is a much better choice in every other way

Not to dis XFX, but i think the only difference between the two brands is XFX is a little bolder with factory overclocks.

What is your budget, is what you have now in your sig rig your real computer? My problem with xfx, which most people don't know about, is that their warranty is based off of the date the card was made, not when you bought it. Thats for stuff without a lifetime warranty.
