Thats good to know and makes perfect sense to, I always thought I was getting black scuff marks on the orange impellers from the starting torque causing it to hit the inside of the top, not a constant wobble...Thats why i always ran them with glycerin in the coolant....Being off any on the outlet volute would cause enough back pressure to cause a axis wobble...Thats good info there i hadn't really thought about that at all, just starting wobble...

You could always press fit a female threaded tube into a top and make a lot different transition cones to increase velocity and flow angles, spin them in and out...Perks of having a mill......
Just took all of my DDCs apart. The two on the left both say DDC2TPMP on the sticker, but I also noticed both of them don't have the power line bridged, so I'm not sure if they aren't actually 10w versions. Someone said all the black impellers were the 10w and the orange wer 18w. I havn't tested either, so I'm not sure.

Unfortunately it looks like my black impeller DDC has a burnt IC. But I could put the black impeller on the DDC3.2...
I'll have to tinker with some nozzles like you said...that'll be fun.

i still say its brown, not orange. :/

how 'bout you replace the blue one with it, to see if the bigger hole makes a difference with the tops? i think there was some testing doe before, but im not sure how extensive it was..

I may do some of that when I have time.

I just have some pressure drop testing of a few more products sitting here, and I'm on vacation...

I've tried all sorts of foams and suspensions. I was considering getting some of that gel and cutting it in such a way to allow air to reach the bottom of the pump.

At the end of the day, I find the pump quite noisy when held in my hand, which is usually good for reducing resonance.

They are right, unless someone has changed out impellers..Black are the 10W and orange 18W, they should both have the larger inlet...Then the first blue impellers came out in Europe with a reduced inlet and you could bridge them with solder to get 18W, as far as I know that was just for a short time with the first batch...If I remember right Alex at Petra's did 18W orange base with a blue impeller "Franken Pump" and it didn't do to well...But a black to blue might work......

Are you going to try over-volting the blues? I've not heard much about over-volting them, I just wonder how well they respond....

This is the interim blue impeller and the bridge trick to turn a 10W into a 18W...

Stock..

Bridged..

This is a orange PCB...One of my dead ones....

EDIT: If you need a better shot of a known orange and black PCB let me know and I'd be glad to take them...
