Folding@Home Client Shutdown.
Here is the trouble that I've been having with the SMP client ever since they updated it Feb 1st. The errors never let me complete a single work unit even though this is VMWare Ubuntu.

I've tried the VMWare Arch method, regular WinSMP, and every other method I can think of and nothing is stable. The system as a whole is completely stable, but the only thing that isn't is folding. I do have virtualization enabled in bios and everything is in the state that it was before the Feb 1st update to the SMP client.

Are there any processors that are having notorious trouble with the client? I'm completely at a loss as to what to do next.

If someone has some incite as to why I just cannot get the program going, please let me know.

Are you OCed and stable?

I could find nothing about "pressure scaling" or anything similar at the F@H forum

Curious, does you BIOS have a "Virtual PC" or "Virtual Machine" setting in the BIOS, and if so is it enabled?

Not sure what this is either, but it seems like reinstalling fixes it or maybe just getting another WU.

This is about the fifth method that I've tried and nothing is working.

The computer is at stock at the moment and was working perfectly for months. The troubles again started when the client got updated Feb 1st and everyone had to download new clients.

I have virtualization enabled in the bios and cleared orthos for about six hours. I'm not sure more orthos would matter, but I could try that if nothing else comes to mind.

I've tried VM/Arch, WinSMP, VM/Ubuntu, Arch64, and straight Ubuntu installs and nothing seems to keep folding. I've checked the cables for the hard drives and even installed/uninstalled the client on different hard drives just to see if there was any conflict with a specific drive.

I'm at a total loss right now, but have a PS3 covering for me right now. I'll continue to look around and see and post what I find here if so. Thanks for any ideas.

EDIT: And also I only seem to get 2605 and 2653 work units and they have all gone bad. Maybe something isn't quite right with their stability in the new client? Just throwing out ideas.
