Only terrible cable ISP's do that, and I think it may even be a thing of the past. Mine is consistently 20 Mbps even in peak usage hours. Furthermore my speed has doubled in the past 3 years.

Cablevision is a great company.

oh and google is a HUGE supporter of net neutrality.

I have Comcast and my cable speeds are totally consistent. On the other hand I used to have DSL which by the way was a pretty rough experience due to low speeds and bandwidth.

Like Comcast, which I have frequently observed here. Given, it is not as bad as when Adelphia managed the cable here, but still, it is a problem.

Cablevision is the worst and im am not surprised to read something like this. Support is a joke, customer service are morons. I have plenty of experience in this area with them

I see bumper stickers on stop signs that say "Cablevision techs deserve respect" It is my experience with cablevision that there is a reason they have these stickers. They screw up soo much stuff with sub contractors and morons that they needed to launch some pathetic site.

Cablevision sucks 100% , I cannot wait for fios internet and tv in my area. I will drop them like a rock without a seconds hesitation.

Funny that you complain about these so-called "bandwidth hogs" slowing down your connection, when obviously that doesn't seem to be the case

Cablevision's ISP was rated best in the country by PC magazine. Our speeds are UNMATCHED, we have a fiber infrastructure.

I hate cablvevision, but their tactics are not infringing on net neutrality. So whatever, I like how they do business.

And at least their techs are in NY, right here ion long island. and not in india. Their telephone service is amazing.

When u get FIOS, you will know the meaning of bas service as Verizon is outsourced all their customer support phone people.

Yes you'll have a faster web connection, but you won't save a dime on cable until a REAL IPTV service gets out here. Imagine a Vonage for TV's. A La Carte programming.

The reason for those stickers is that they are a unionized group. That being said, CV has tried to break the union and slash their pay.
