SMP crashing my computer

Thread Starter
In the past few days the SMP folding app has started making my computer freeze. I currently have a stable (tested in prime 95) OC at 2.9 ghz.

Every time I open the SMP client, it boots up and before it has even started to fold the computer freezes. Not BSOD, just freezes. I have to restart. I have tried reinstalling the client but the same problem occured. I was able to run a non SMP client successfully without issue.

Any ideas about what is happening? and how to fix it?

What he said. Try it stock and if no errors then let Prime95 run SmallFFTs for 24 hours at your 2.9 O/C and see if it errors. Be sure and use v25.3 of Prime95 for quad-cores.

Yup, My OC was "stable" with Orthos 24+ hours, Prime 95 20+ hours and any gaming I did, but SMP would crash it in less than 2 minutes.
I had to back down about .1ghz and all is fine.
