In fact for the majority of the day I've had it at 1.5v benching 4.6ghz, and one point in time I had it there for several hours.
im with him. i run 1.5 to get to 4.45 when benching and have noticed no performance loss or anything.

Too bad I didn't notice a cpu pll voltage! The P5k I had would fail 4.3ghz @ 1.39v at 1.6v on the CPU PLL, however once stepping it up to 1.7v CPU PLL it all fell into place being orthos stable overnight 8+

for reference and yes I've a voltage tyrant!

this is for 4.2ghz with 8x525fsb!

if my FSB can do more than 1.5 i could do 4.6 easy but my board cant lol.

and no need to try 8X just keep it at 9X

That's up to you, however that will net you 3.2ghz. On the q6600 I had I always ran 8 x 450 and it felt much snappier than 9 x 400 and everest benchmarks showed an increase as well, especially in memory throughput.

Just an Update Orthos still running stable @ 22 Mins. I think this is a good setting so far. I think we can move up in MHz. What should i do next?

what settings and cpu speed? Also in Orthos are you running blend or small fft's? Run small fft's first to factor out any uncertainties about your ram and fsb. I always run 30mins on small fft's when testing out a cpu before going on to the next stage in the overclock or voltage dropping.

My current run, and I was running Full blend on Orthos FYI, I changed it to Small FFT's, it's currently running.

Nice you can keep it blend, just small fft's will stress the cpu more. I'd say it's safe to go on to the next frequency. Keep upping it a little at a time until you start failing, then give it a little boost in vcore.
