Is my TT messed up?

Q6600 and Tuniq are lapped to be very flat (passes the "vacuum lift" test)
Ambients are nice and the idle is currently 30-30-30-25 as I type
Considering the insane wind tunnel that I've turned my computer into (check my sig rig info), is 68-70C unacceptable for 3.6GHz @ 1.48V?

Also, I broke two of the screws on my first tuniq install and had to solder them back together... could this be the cause of my troubles? And if so, why are my idles so decent?

Not sure on ur temp question, but I wouldnt trust soldered screws. I to broke the screws on my tuniq, so I went to the hardware store and bought some hardened screws, they work a charm, just a thought.

Thanks for the suggestion broham

Question was basically whether or not my Q6600 should be running at 68-70C @ full load given the nice ambients and idle

Also, what sort of screws were they and how much?

Room temp?

Seems about right, I get 60-65°c with my TRUE with the same vcore.

Although 68c load isn't terrible for a quad, the difference between the idle and load is too great. I think a replacement of screws is in order.

Also, out of curiosity... how do you monitor NB temps outside of BIOS?

I think Everest might do it.
