There is no multiplier setting in the BIOS.

Some more mystery. Clock Gen shows a 100FSB. But if I manually set a 133FSB it locks.

My guess would be that the RAM is unstable? PC133 RAM? Or DDR?

I hate ECS, god what a pain in the ass website. Anyway, do you have acpi enabled in the bios? If not enable for windwos 2000.

If that does not fix the problem, then I know how to force 133 on the chip with pin mods. ( could even force 166 for a killer overclock) check out this site, I have done this before, I have a 1800 xp-m and oc'ed it to 2.2ghz stable. It works as long as you don't have a NF-2 chipset, which you don't. When I get home, I'll check back, and try to do some more research.

Look these over and check out the site. Great info. I even turned my sempron 2500+ into a xp-m.

The multi is right 102x11.5=1172mhz

There is no ACPI in the BIOS. And the RAM tested fine.

As said, the Palomino 1800 is a 133MHz FSB CPU, check the MB manual... many MBs of that day required a default jumper to set the CPU FSB speed.

Thanks. I have read the manual several times. There are only 2 jumpers. One to lock the BIOS the other to Reset.

I'm suspecting that this board was one of those that was designed to be 100mhz and was expected to be able to 133, but never could.

frency/voltage control option

CPU host/SDRAM/PCI Clock
these items appear if you set the CPU Internal Core Speed to manual. use the CPU/SDRAM/PCI Clock to set the system bus frency to the installed cpus (usually 133,100,66)
