Looking for a new motherboard

Thread Starter
So I have a striker extreme and I have had nothing but problems with this board. I'm looking for some suggestions for motherboard and ram combinations. I'm going to keep my Q6600 for a bit and want to get rid of this pos. I like lots of bells and whistles so I'm looking for help with which chipset I should go with. Price really isn't an issue, and no I'm going to buy the next biggest pos the skulltrail lol IMO of course.

thanks
Luke

I've heard good things about the Striker II Formula, the EVGA and Asus 780i boards are great as well.

So the biggest question is what chipset should I get with these boards? I have the nvidia one right now and they never seem to make new drivers for it. Is the Striker II Formula any better?

Also did I mention that Asus support sucks IMO.... I had to RMA this board at least 3 times and it's still broke now.. I can't boot it up with the CMOS battery put in... and if it doesn't boot I have to not **** tap on the bios chip... and it comes right now... like it's loose or something.

Does this board do any kind of SATA Raid? I didn't see any info on Newegg's site.

NM found the info on an e-bay site.

well your only option is 680i or 780i really... and the 780's have been getting better clocks, but stay away from Asus with Nv chipsets, they are only asking for trouble.

EVGA is a fantastic sticker-stamper company, they really set themselves apart
