Not sure on where to post this but here it is

I have a chance to get a Asus 3850 512MB or evga 8800GTS 320MB what would be better. I have a crossfire board not not sure if I would ever go xfire anyways. Both card are $160. Witch one would be better?

I wouldn't go with any version of the older GTS versions.

Is it possible for you to add $20?

If so go for the 9600GT or the Ati 3870. The 8800 GT is also good ($210)

These two cards are much better than the ones you plan to buy. Hope tihs helps.

ide go for the 3850 because you have a crossfire board.
Also add little cash on there and get a 8800gt instead

3850
The 8800gts 320mb is an alright card, but I think the 3850 would show better performance.

Not really, because you can overclock the normal version of the card past the "OC Edition"

Stick with you topic, between 3850 and 8800GTS (G80), I would go for 3850. You can OC GPU easily to match that speed. To get an OC version of GPU only when you find a very good price. Now, extra $9, you can have 9600GT, which its perfomance about the same as hd3870 and better than 8800GS and behind 8800GT. For all 9600GT reviews, see this.
