How can I tell which one?

When I'm trying to decide on which memory to buy, how can I know which IC it's using?

Like for example, how about these mushkins at NewEgg? Which IC are they using?

To clarify, I want to know how I can tell before even purchasing them.

If that doesn't tell you, then you'll need to find someone who has them and looked under the heatspreaders.
Once again...

But I've been told that this list is too old to be reliable.
