But id like to know if everything looks ok, heres a link for my cpu-z reading

Also, with 8 x 425, i could only get my ram frequency to 1021..will this be safe/stable?

Im not sure if this is important but My Computer > properties shows up like this

Is this ok/normal?

Thanks in advance...ps i can also upload more pics if you need more info to detmine if my pc seems ok
CPU-Z looks fine.

Your RAM is fine at 1021. If you are going to underclock it, you should go for tighter timings, but I'm sure you can raise it via the ratio if you want.

The properties are fine as well. Mine says the same thing. It's reading your FSB correctly, but it thinks you are on 9x multi.

I want to get performance out of my RAM, and im new to ocing and i would like to know what you recommend. I can go up to 1361 Mhz but I think this would be a bad idea.. Id like to keep it at 3.4 Ghz for now..what would you guys recommend me do to get some good timings with my ram?
Cheers!

I would also recommend Team Xtreme ddr2 1150 or higher. Those IC's are rated for 2.4-2.5v and have very functional heatspreaders on them. Definitely some of the fastest around... Geil Ultra's are also rated for up to 2.5v and are also, very top-notch Q.

ncsa- had some of the Geil Ultra's, He benched them and posted results on this forum a long while back.. over 1200mhz cas4 etc. I think he was ultimately able to break 1400mhz with them.

I'd try to shoot for around 1200MHz if I were you. 1361 does sound a tad high, but possible. If you want to keep them at around stock (1066), then try for 4-4-4-12 timings.

Thnx. The only problem is with 8 x 425 i can only choose 1021 or 1361 and I was told that I should try to keep my cpu at 3.4. Would using 8 x 430 or x 440 make any sense, since I can only choose ram frequncy depending on my fsb..

Well I don't know why you can only pick 2 ratios. Are you sure there are no other options? As for keeping you cpu @ 3.4, that's up to you. I keep mine @ 3.4, but I can get it stable @3.6. I just prefer 3.4 because of the much lower voltage requirements. Plus, there's not much performance gain from 3.6.

You could kick the multi up to 9x and drop your FSB to have more RAM speed options. I prefer a higher FSB, but some don't think there's a difference.

Yeah im sure..certain frequencies appear with certains fsb freq. Ill try it at 9x and see what options open up for under dram freq. thanks alot dude, dunno why your the only guy giving input tnx again mate
