A build 1 year in the making - Page 2

Looks like a nice build. A bit of overkill imo for what you want to do. if money is an object you could spend alot less. If it is not More power to you. go with the msi if you plan do go sli. Good Luck

Thread Starter
System is complete and just passed 6 hours of Prime95 stress testing (blend). Now that I know it's not broke at stock, I'll do some benchies and post them, then I'll begin the OC process. I'm interested in what settings others are using for their q6600, but I'm still going to go step by step on this one. MY goals are 8x450, with the memory at 1:1, timings no worse than 5-5-5-15 w/tRD around 6. The reason why I like 450 is because this system is for everyday use, it's fast enough for everything I need, and I want to maintain low and stable tRD cycle time in the memory. Tight, fast, low latency memory will give a hugh performance boost.

*Oh, yeah, there were a buttload of software issues with the software supplied by MSI - I had to use the default Nvidia Forceware for card and MB just to get things working correctly. Also, all of MSI's programs were broke in x64. It's too bad, some of their auto update and MB monitoring software looked promising.
