I could name 5 games off the top of my head that already do this. that is without doing any research, I think publishers/developers have found that this is the only way they can REALLY punish pirates, not letting them to MP, which is what alot of people buy games for these days.

Let us say PC gaming DID die, or at least PC Pirating has halted development of AAA titles to the PC. What then? Pirates are just going to find even easier ways of hacking a Xbox360 or PS3 without the need of a mod chip (look at the Sega Dreamcast with that one disk you can buy), and then allow any pirated software. Change some things in the OS, and viola, a way to pirate. So developing for consoles will be easier and less time consuming (as well as proper development, so games will most likely suck) and then they will ***** and whine even more and say that developing games in general is no point.

They aren't losing as much money as they say they are. If they were, then they would have dropped from the PC gaming market long time ago. Instead, we just see poorly done games. Have any of you played Turning Point - Fall of Liberty on the PC? I have, and it was a direct port. Same with Gears of War for PC, what a shame. Developers are not moving to console because of PC Pirating, they are moving to console because development on the Console is easier and does not cost as much, while all it requires is a direct port to PC to create the game. So they shave off money here and there, and in the end, release a mediocre game that nobody likes, thus we download it and get complained at later.

If they do not care about their viewers/players of their products, then why should we care about their products? PC Pirating is just a quick get-away (excuse) for a lazy developer. Thank Epic, you used to be great, now your games are just epic failures.

Writing games for the console isn't "easier." They actually MAKE the games on the PC to start with, where they have all their developer kits, and run it on the consoles.

Developers would prefer to just make games for the PC, but the publishers encourage and/or "force" them to make the games for consoles as they make far more money.
