Good budget soundcard for 780i nvidia chipset

Thread Starter
I heard the sound blaster ones and nvidia chipsets don't play nicely with each other...If my budget was around 150 and under, what good soundcard options do I have?

Musicwise, I listen to rock a lot, but as long as I don't hear static I am fine...However, when gaming I want relatively good performance and sound.

Best budget card is Xtreme Music if you can find one, all the other X-Fis with Xram dont offer more performance (Although they are expensive).....Or go straight for the Auzentech Prelude....

I haven't heard of an issue with Nvidia and Creative. I know it's older tech but I didn't have a problem with a 650i chipset and an Audigy2 ZS.

The best gaming card so far is the Prelude......If you are going to spend on a Fatal1ty put some 20 or 30$ more and get a prelude.......Going from the 70$ Xtreme Music to the 150$ Fatal1ty wont give u extra performance.......But the Prelude will do wonders........

You can't go wrong with any XFI based card, just stay away from the XtremeAudio. There are a bunch of options out there, it just depends on what you are willing to spend.
