hd2600 pro agp problem

So I took out my old agp card and put in a hd2600 pro, connected all the cables and I turn my computer on...nothing. My monitors light is flickers green and black continuosly when its on but nothing shows on the screen. If I reboot i get a series of beeps, can anyone help me out please?

p.s how do i turn the computer off? do i just go to the back of my computer and kill the power?

Ok...ill go switch cards now(first day doing this, usually I get someone else to) ill get back and post in a min. How do I turn the computer off though?

edit: at the back of my computer there is a RED led light...what does this mean???

Tap the power button and it should shut off after a few seconds, if that doesn't work then hold it.. Then after it shuts down flick the power switch to off before opening your comp.

However.. if you arnt familiar with computers maybe you should let the other person switch video cards..

It's only unsafe to shutdown a computer manually while the OS is running.
Even then you're usually in the clear.

Gulp, switched back cards and it gave me a series of beeps again!

edit: I forgot to plug the power to the card!!!(for my old card at least, im pretty sure the hd 2600 pro doesnt need power from the psu does it)
