Memtest86+ question

Ok so I ran memtest on my WINTEC AMPX 4GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) 2x2gb last night for 10 hours

It came back with 7 errors but it was testing at 435mhz

So does this mean my ram is bad? Or does it mean that my ram is bad if OC'd to 435?

I plan on running it again tonight, latest version but setting it at 400mhz

This is my first time running memtest for so long so i'm new at this.

It could mean the overclock is too high so you may need to relax timings or increase voltage or it could mean that the stick itself is bad.

Try relaxing the timings/adding voltage to see if that helps. If not, lower the frequency. If at stock the errors are occuring time to RMA.

When i woke up this morning I saw it was testing at 435, I wish I caught that last night, I meant to test at 400 because I've been getting a consistent BSOD so I completely turned down all my overclock settings to stock to see if it continued (it did) I keep getting the BSOD for win2k.sys at least once a day so I'm trying to see if its the memory at fault.

I just built this system a week ago, upgrading my mobo processor and memory

Interesting, I was using UBCD's version which I think was 1.7 or something of that nature

Now I downloaded the new 2.whatever from memtest's site and ran it, It came up with 2046 errors within 30 seconds as opposed to the older version took about two hours to find any errors.

What gives?
