Need some advice on an artist notebook

Thread Starter
I have a question about what kind of internals i should be focusing on for a Artist notebook. I have a friend attending Otis college of Art and Design who is looking for a notebook. Shes got about 1000 dollars to play with and needs a replacement for her old desktop. She will be using Photoshop, indesign and other programs of that nature. Are these programs more cpu, memory, or GPU intensive?
Found this on the Egg.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220297 It seems to have a good balance between cpu, mem, and GPU power to me.

those adobe programs seems to be more cpu and ram bound then gpu-bound. A laptop with decent ram and a good cpu will be fine, i'd concentrate on the ram more than anythign as long as it has a C2D.

what kind of gaming does she do? I would consider a macbook (I'm finding myself saying this more often) but they're a bit over the budget. Something, as murcielago said, with a decent GPU but more focus on the RAM/CPU, I'd also like to throw in another suggestion. If she is an artist, I know I use a lot of space with pics, I would suggest a fairly large HDD, in the 120gig range.
