This isn't the consumer's fault, it's Microsoft's/Intel's for allowing this pairing to occur and giving it the 'blessing' of Vista Capable.
Code Geass avatar nice!!

i have 945g on my laptop and it runs vista home premium just fine... i don't know about the 915, i bet those are worse though.
I was just thinking, the 945 chipset runs Vista Aero just fine. I ran it in Boot Camp for a couple of months on the GMA950 and it worked perfectly fine.

I don't understand why I keep seeing post like this. Are people with this GPU running a different Crysis that everyone else?

Back on topic. Yes, they should be fined. No question about it.

Intel please dump the integrated graphics and maybe pc gaming won't have as many of the problems it's already facing.

I mean how can you even call something like that "EXTREME"? I guess it would be "EXTREME" if you had no pixel shaders at all. And if you read their site they talk about it being able to handle 3D graphics, which it can’t.

My laptop plays Quake 3 arena like my desktop plays crysis, And Quake 3 was out long before the Extreme Graphics 2 chipset.

But that’s fine I didn’t expect much form a used laptop anyways or form a laptop period.
Extremely crappy.

I've got a 8600M GT as well, and I suppose it's "playable". I mean, if you enjoy 5FPS.

IGC's (Integrated Graphics Chipsets) aren't really made with gaming in mind. IGC's are made for typical home PC internet browsing, word processing, and very basic games - which account for the majority of home PC users. This is also why they outsell expansion cards.
