i did a fresh install of windows x64
i immediately installed my chipset drivers (4.83) via safe mode
rebooted to a black screen but noticed my pc didnt reboot and when i moved the mouse the hd light was comin on so I rebooted in safe mode, it still worked like before so I decided to try and install my display drivers next in safe mode. Rebooted and wouldnt ya know it the damn thing works. lol

leson learned, always load your chipset and display drivers in safe mode and uninstall and clean your old ones before you do.

Hmm...good to know. I've always just done one in normal mode, reboot, do the next in normal mode and reboot.
