Not sure about the RAM, but the board and the card are awesome.
Not knocking the RAM, just don't know much about it.

Mr Jules... Will that board startup without having to be flashed... I really dont want to have to RMA another set of hardware... That would make 3 out at the same time lol. Im running out of money untill I start getting some of the refunds lol.
Sorry about your unfortunate roll of the dice with the mobos. I understand that a blood iron went bad on you out of the box or something and that really sucks but don't assume DFI is a irreputable company because of one bad experience. (or two )

There are a number of great DFI boards out there and the two that are being suggested are the DFI DK P35 ($140 or so) and the DFI DK X38 ($199). If you are looking to go crossfire then get the X38 but if it's not even a thought then forget it and save your money with the P35. Both of these boards will work out of the box with E8400.

my post, first one, is pretty good, and also very cost effective. Probably the best rated memory from users here at OCN, arguably the best p35 board, and the 9600gt is about as good as an 8800gt for cheaper. Of course, I did also recommend an 8800gts 512 (or maybe I just said gts, but I meant 512 )

seriously, those parts are pretty unstoppable (unless you want 4gb of ram, in which case: 2x2gb gskill for $90)

So when it comes down to it whats more important too look for when it comes to ram... Faster speed or faster timings? Hard to find a combination of both.
2gb will be enough for now

Also Sonic... I dont want to just rush into buying something anoymore... Im going to definatly be a little more patient, even if I have to miss a deal or two
