Just installed a Tuniq Tower, impressive results

Last week I found what I though was a stable 3.2 ghz OC when I reallized it was actually not stable at all and I was undervolting it quite a bit. When that was corrected my temps shot way up so I figured it was time to upgrade the cooling. I don't know how hot the core would have gotten with the stock cooling at 3.2ghz because I had to shut down at 68C. But now at 3.2 on the low fan setting I am getting a balmy 48 and at the high setting I am only getting 42. That is over 26C drop!!!

So now on to the part that confuses me. I am familiar with how heat pipes opperate, a coolent is contained within the pipes, partially gas and partially liquid. I assume that most of these are mounted sideways which would mean the fluid would be sent towards the lowest pipe which in the case of the tuniq is not by the processer. I would assume it would opperate much more efficiently if the unit was mounted in an upright mannor

What voltage are you running with that? My load temps are ungodly compared to yours... is that with prime95 small FFTs?

Also, it doesn't work any more effectively upright than sideways... I think it works more on the principle that heat flows from hot to cold... heat towards the base will always be hotter (evaporating the fluid) and heat at the end of the heatpipes will always be colder (condensates the fluid)

my vcore is set to 1.425 but with vdrop its showing as 1.36. I'm running prime95 right now in blend mode. I'll be running it tomarrow on the max cpu test mode to see how it does.
