so i decided to give up on my 780i.. i wont do serious ocing only minor.. need suggestions on what board to get for my sig rig.. leaning towards DFI LANPARTY DK X38-T2R

the blood iron and the dark will do pretty much the same on the dual cores.. the dark is "supposed" to be better at overclocking quads but we have all seen some impressive results from the blood iron.. or you could get the lt versions and have the top dog all the way around lol..

The main difference is that the x38 has two PCIx16 2.0 for the best crossfire performance. If you don't plan on a crossfire set up then you could save a few bucks and go for a p35. I'm happy with my Asus P5E x38 and I intend on adding a second 3870 soon.
