How would the 9600GT overclock in windows with the pci-e freq boosted, since the OC app still reads normal frequencies? Will it just clock about 9-10% more than it sais it is at 110PCI-E Freq?
pci bus doesn't effect the cards clocks just how data is transfered

When increased, it has an effect on the 9600GT. And it doesnt affect "how" the data is tranferred, your making the bus run at a higher frequency.

there are more things attached to a PCI-E bus then a video card... most use PCI-E lan cards, and SATA controllers... overclocking those is not a smart idea.

on some 8800 cards when you raise the PCI-E frequency is also raises the cards GPU voltage a tad...thus allowing better overclocks...it doesnt happen on all cards I think it was the ultras...the info is out there...
