Heat issues with AM2 Athlon X2 3600+.

I have a socket AM2 Athlon X2 3600+ Brisbane overclocked to 2.4GHz (for now ). I started the computer up after getting a new motherboard and new heatsink (Tuniq Tower) after my old board died, and was surprised to see my temperatures at 40 degrees Celsius!
I made sure to apply as little thermal paste as I could while still being able to spread it around the whole IHS, but I don't think that's the issue.

I would download a program such as CPU-Z to check my temps, but I am using Linux. :/
I downloaded lm_sensors, though, and went through the whole config process, but this is my output:

Code:
mikey@l33tbox ~ $ sensors
k8temp-pci-00c3
Adapter: PCI adapter
Core0 Temp:
             +12°C
Core0 Temp:
              +1°C
Core1 Temp:
              +5°C
Core1 Temp:
              +3°C
That makes no sense at all!
I would download the PerlMon program, but it uses lm_sensors for temps :/.

For the record, I took the side case fan off of my RC-690 and put it above my heatsink as an exhaust to try to help with the temps, but it didn't help too much. I also made sure that the Tuniq was covering my entire processor.
And I don't think this would matter too much, but my motherboard required me to seat the Tuniq sideways rather than up and down. My fan is blowing air toward the top of the case though, so it shouldn't have a negative effect at all.

Is there anything I can do to try to help temperatures? Too much/little AS5?
Also, if possible, I REALLY don't want to re-seat the Tuniq Tower, as it was VERY difficult to put on, but if that's what it comes down to, I will re-seat it.

My voltage is still at stock; I haven't changed anything. I'll double check it, though.

EDIT: Yeah, I am still running at stock voltages.

Another Brissy wacko temp post.
Go figure, the same 5000+ B I had in the Crosshair which is now in an Biostar TA770...
Crosshair temps on the money.
TA770, BIOS and windows report are about 10c below standard.
So, its not the CPU doing it, but the MB/sensor or what ever

If the BIOS is accurate, it will reflect about 80% of the OS full load temps.
Also, the BIOS will likely give up a high 20c temp at default voltage if its on par.
Further more, there is a post in the Linux section for a bunch of OCing softwares

Oh.
Well, I feel kinda stupid now.
I didn't even know about the 80% load temps in BIOS. heh

And yeah, I saw the list of softwares. I'll give them all a try some time today.

Thanks a lot though!
