Thermalright 120 Extreme buy

Well I made the switch from my 9700 Zalman to this Thermalright 120 Extreme lapped. I threw a 120mm Panaflo Ultra High speed 115cfm fan on it. Immediate drop in about 7-9C at idle. Considering I have a huge TT Armor case I was surprised that if this case is coupled with the 25cm side panel fant the fan bracket rests right up against the top of the 120Extreme and won't shut unless you force it a little bit. Crazy it's so big. If the side panel fan was not there it would have about 2.5cm's more of room.
Loading temps also never went close to 70C. 3dmark06 cpu temps with the zalman (all settings being equal that is) would jump over 73C sometimes.
It chugged along at 61C through those tests just as a small comparison for now. Absolutely a great cooler.
Couple pics of it during install.

ah, thats great to hear.

I went for the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme instead of a Zalman
I dont have that great of a Fan though, Mine is only a 1600Rpm Scythe S-FLEX 63,7 cfm 28dBA.
Hope thats enough to move some air through that thing.
