I'm defending the side I think is correct. Because it's Microsoft I should instantly side with the poor defenseless gamer victim?

In all honestly, that picture of master chief isn't all that well drawn. They have a job to do, and they did it. The only reason this is getting attention is because it's the big bad Microsoft that you get to blame.

Take a step back and look at this from a non-xbox/microsoft hating user. Microsoft didn't do anything wrong or out of line here.

You either don't work or have never had to live off of a next to minimum wage job. Pedro goes and grabs his friends who say screw you, I have a family to feed and this is the only job I can find, I am not ruining that just because you feel like questioning your job over some marker.

Think about this people. They get hundreds of cases a day. I am sure a lot of them have writing and stuff on them. They are not paid to think about what should/should not be cleaned, they are paid to clean. Who knows, he may even have known it wasn't supposed to come off and just figured he would wipe over that area lightly. But if he was dumb enough to spray it with some alcohol based cleanser it probably just started washing off and then there was no going back. Even if that's the case, it's still just the fault of one of the employees, and a great way to avoid it would have been to take it to a place with much smaller volume that could have given his specific case extra attention

Ok so if thats his job, he didnt do a very good job cause there were still some marks on it... why didnt they just replace the damn case? and send the original one back to the guy?

because like us normal 360 owners, we Paid ALOT of money to have a simple, simple request be ignored like that..

360 Pro 369$
All the Hot Games right know are about 60$..
Xbox live is 50$ a Year...
Wireless Controllers are 50$ and they feel kinda cheaply made... ( The Dpad Ftw..)
For those who got the Arcade System or want more storage its 100 bucks for a puny 20 gig HD and 180 for a exccesive 120 GB Hd

and on top of that we pay for extended warranty too

Is a little respect for the 360 he paid for too much to ask?

honestly I could care less who the company was. I don't really use the x-box. never played a 360 or even it's rivals the ps3, wii. microsoft is no matter to me and if anything I am a little pro ms just being that is my choice of operating system.

I'm taking this from the standpoint that I'm fairly sure he explained the whole situation to the rep on the phone. he is carefull enough to send a letter in with his x-box explaining the writing on it I'm sure he would do the same with the microsoft rep as well rather then just hey I want my case back and leave it at that. if that is the case then for the customer service rep to say things would be fine and tey aren't then I blame MS.

Ok, for starters, it was out of warranty. Second, you should be glad the Xbox360 is $300 and not $600. Microsoft can get it to you for $300 because they use cheap labor. You can't have your cake and eat it too. You folks seem to think Microsoft should bend over backwards on any little whim that you might have because you payed them $500 for your system and 3 years of play.

The console was out of warranty. I wish Microsoft told the gamer to go away, so I wouldn't have ended up wasting hours of my time (though it aint worth much ) with this stupid topic.

UNSUBSCRIBED.

So he had to pay to get it repaired... they should have at least done it right and
COMPLETELY Removed the Thing or get him a new case... Cheap Labor? Look at the Ps3 wether you like it or not it is the best Bang For buck system... its only 100$ more than the Xbox with a BIGGER harddrive and Blueray Built right into it... and you dont see the Cpu throwing in the towel and crying uncle

I can easily agree with you on that . if they told him not our problem none of this would of happened and if it did someone else would have responsiblity for it

Okay, anyone stating that microsoft did nothing wrong probably didn't pay any attention to the article. The 360 owner obviously made clear his intent to have the artwork and signatures return to him unscathed. Microsoft approved of this and then returned to him a plain white 360 case.

I bet you the cost of a 360 that the owner would have chosen to buy a new 360 and just put the broken one on the shelf if he believed that Microsoft would choose to ignore his request in this way.
